Fees

Stoma Appliance Scheme financial year access fee Amount
Concession $70.00
Non-concession $80.00

The access fee is non-refundable and must be paid before your first order each financial year. Once it is paid you are eligible to place orders with CAV and have Medicare cover the cost of your prescribed products. If the fee is not paid, CAV cannot process your order through the Stoma Appliance Scheme, because Medicare will not cover the cost of your products.

Optional handling / Australia Post delivery Amount
One parcel containing a one month SAS supply $16.00
One parcel containing a two month SAS supply $25.00

Delivery fees apply to Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales and the ACT. Collection from the CAV premises is free of charge. Supplies are delivered within 3 working days.

Two month orders. The $25.00 two month fee is collected in two parts — $16.00 at checkout, and $9.00 debited from your CAV account once the order is approved. See Portal Instruction 12 for the full explanation.

Refunds

Stoma Appliance Scheme access fees are not refundable. Funds paid for handling and parcel delivery may be refundable at the discretion of the CAV finance team. A form must be completed to establish the bona fides of the person applying for the refund, and GST, an administration fee, a banking fee and a finance fee will be applied. CAV may not refund prepaid parcel delivery funds where you are transferring to another association.

Donations

Donations help us keep our service to ostomates running. Many of our office workers are volunteers, which keeps our costs to members low, but our expenses continue to rise. Any donation is gratefully received, however small.

Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible, and a receipt will be issued. Choose Donation at the top of this page, or contact us on 03 9650 1666.
